Henry Brown was born in England on 27 Dec 1886. He called himself a “bushman” by trade when he attested at age 29 years to the 37^th Bn, CEF at Camp Niagara on 11 Jun 1915. He subsequently served in the field with the 18^th (Western Ontario) Bn, CEF [2^nd Div, 4 Bde] and was awarded the MM in that unit. Entitled at least to Victory Medal (not present).
