 Guy Irvine White was born at Belleville, Ont on 2 Mar 1893. A machinist by trade at Hamilton, he had served 16 months in the 13th Royal Regt when he attested at Hamilton on 25 Nov 1915, becoming an original member of the 120th (Hamilton) Bn, CEF. He sailed with the battalion on 14 Aug 1916, arriving in the UK in 23 Aug. He was posted on 15 Dec 1916 to the 19th Bn, CEF (4 Bde, 2nd Div), joining that unit in the field on 28 Dec 1916. He was wounded in action (GSW left arm) on 10 Apr 1917. He was evacuated to England for treatment and recovery and invalided to Canada on 4 Feb 1918. He was discharged on account of his wound at No. 2 District Depot, Toronto on 1 Jun 1918. Mr White died at Belleville on 5 Jul 1967.
