Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Ltd, commemorative medal for a past President, silver, 38mm, w/ short 28mm orange & two thin black stripe ribbon and silver suspension brooch, obv shows bust of unident man and dates 1890 - 1952; rev depicts the name of the company around the edge with founding date 1879 enclosing symbols, a palm tree flank by commercial scales and a peacock.
The firm is still in business in Mumbai and is one of India’s largest producers of textiles.
