Michael O'Brien was born at Cork, Ireland, the son of Michael and Margaret O'Brien and was the husband of Edith Norah O'Brien of Nottingham. He served with the 92nd Field Company, RE and entered France on 23 Aug 1915. He was wounded in action and died of wounds on 7 Aug 1918 at age 25. He is buried in Vignacourt British Cemetery, France.
