Howard Reynolds was born on 5 May 1894 at Arnprior, ON. He was single, a railway worker by trade with no previous experience.  He was conscripted under the Military Service Act 1917 at Ottawa, ON, into 2nd Dept Bn, Eastern Ontario Regt. He arrived in England aboard the SS Grampian on 3 Apr 1918 and was posted to the 38th (Ottawa) Bn on 9 Aug 1918. He was killed in action on 2 Sept 1918 at age 24, and is buried in Dury Mill British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.  Entitled to Victory Medal; medals, scroll and Memorial Plaque were sent to his NoK in 1920s. Sold with copied extracts from his VAC service file and Virtual War Memorial page.  A very short war battle casualty.
